Eminem gave fans the thrill of a lifetime when he joined 50 Cent on stage during the Michigan stop of his Final Lap tour.
The 50-year-old rap icon received a standing ovation when she took the stage at the Pine Knob Amphitheater in Clarkston, Michigan on Sunday night, joining the 48-year-old owner of Effen Vodka, who is on tour celebrating his 20th anniversary. of his legendary 2003 debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
Eminem – who recently ordered presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to stop using Lose Yourself on a campaign track – had the crowd on their feet when he came out to belt out his verse from Patiently Waiting.
Since the 8 Mile actor is a Detroit native, he didn’t live too far from the venue, so it was no surprise that he received a hometown hero’s welcome.
Eminem also went on to perform one of his classics Crack A Bottle from his 2009 album Relapse.
Before leaving the stage, the My Name Is hitmaker made sure to acknowledge his bond with 50 Cent and also acknowledged the ongoing HipHop50 celebrations.
He said, “Detroit made some noise for one of the best friends I’ve ever known, 50 Cent! Make some noise for hip-hop’s 50th birthday!
The friendship and working relationship goes back two decades when Dr. Dre famously signed Eminem, who years later signed 50 Cent to one. The hip-hop trio has sold millions of records.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s tour was not without controversy.
Last month, the rapper’s attorney shared a statement with DailyMail.com claiming his client did not “intentionally” hit the woman at his recent concert stop in Los Angeles.
“Let’s be very clear, as I told the LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally hit anyone with a microphone,” Scott Leeman said via statement.
“Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed,” he added.
The denial of intent to hit anyone comes after the rapper is reportedly being investigated by police for battery after she allegedly hit a radio host for Power 106, leaving her with a gash on her forehead that poured blood all over her face and clothes.
The hitmaker — real name: Curtis Jackson III — reportedly threw two separate microphones into the crowd at his show in LA on Wednesday.
AND the now viral TikTOk shows the In Da Club artist, who recently postponed his show in Arizona due to a heat wave, violently tossing a microphone offstage when the item malfunctioned.
He was later given another microphone, which also experienced technical problems, causing him to fling the object away and crash into a fan.
Since the incident, 50 Cent is now suspected of criminal charges after a woman “filed a police report” shortly after the concert. TMZ.
Instagram account, The Neighborhood Talkalso uploaded a photo of a female fan with a bloody gash on her forehead and claimed the victim was Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain.
Law enforcement officials told the server that “50 threw a microphone at his crew in the production area and hit the victim,” and that the woman told officers “50 looked at her right before throwing the microphone.”
The fan was taken to hospital to be treated for a ‘head laceration’ after being hit with a microphone.
Photos obtained by TMZ showed the victim with a deep cut on his forehead and his head was seen wrapped in a bandage.
She also had cuts and bruises on her arm and palm.
Sources reported that 50 Cent “wasn’t targeting the woman, but he still let her down.”
Another insider close to the rapper explained that the woman was in a confined space near the stage where she “shouldn’t have been.” It is not clear why the insider thought this claim would exempt 50
The rapper is on the road on the Final Lap tour, which officially kicked off last month in July and is scheduled to end on December 14th in Auckland, New Zealand, with international dates beginning in late September.
Cardi B is another performer who recently faced a similar incident last month in July when she threw a microphone at an audience member in Las Vegas after a drink was thrown at her.
In anger, she responded by throwing the microphone at the DJ, but was later legally cleared in a battery case.
This was said by the singer’s lawyers Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld TMZ in a statement at the time: “We were informed this afternoon by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department that NO charges will be filed against Cardio as a result of their investigation.”
“On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the thorough and prompt handling of this matter by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.” The microphone itself was later auctioned off on eBay for an almost unbelievable $100,000.
50 Cent has yet to comment on the incident, but earlier on Thursday he hopped on Instagram to share photos with his son Sir, 10, who also attended the concert in LA.
The post included two photos of the performer and his youngest son, whom he shares with Daphne Joy. The star also welcomed son Marquis Jackson, 26, with ex Shaniqua Tompkins.
The duo stood side by side on a stage that was covered in confetti and 50 Cent wrote: “My show in LA was approved by SIRE said a man who is crazy! My little man felt the love.’
