Hugh Jackman has opened up about his split from wife Deborra-lee Furness for the first time since their separation became public. Over the past weekend, the couple’s joint statement announcing their decision to go their separate ways after 27 years together made headlines. Huge addresses split

Hugh Jackman recently announced his separation from Deborry-Lee Furness.

According to a TMZ report, Hugh was spotted on the streets of NYC on Saturday by paparazzi who asked him about his split from wife Deborra-lee Furness. He said: “I don’t feel quite right talking about it in the street. But I appreciate your thoughts man. It’s a tough time.” Hugh was seen wearing a dark t-shirt which showed off his muscles, paired with black trousers, black boots and sunglasses.

On Deadpool 3

That wasn’t all. The cinematographer went on to press the actor about the status of his upcoming film Deadpool 3, which is on hold due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. To which Hugh said, “Well, I can’t really know… until I get back to work.” As soon as possible, man.” Hugh then walked out into the street.

Joint statement

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee shared a joint statement announcing their decision to go after 27 years together. Their statement to People read: “We have been blessed to have shared nearly 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey is now shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and will always be our top priority. We accept this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family goes through this transition in our lives.”

Hugh and Deborra began dating after meeting on the set of the Australian television series Corelli in 1995. They soon married the following year on 11 April 1996. They have two adopted children, Oscar and Ava. Hugh and Deborra attended the Met Gala together in May of this year.
