Savanah, mom Janelle and Christine all speak out against Kody’s behavior, while he defends himself — saying he “didn’t have the emotional strength to reach out” to some of his kids.
Another of Cody Brown 18 children expressed their disappointment, frustration and “anger” with him in the latest episode of the series Sister’s Wives.
The polygamous father — who shares nearly 20 children with four wives, Robyn, Meri, Janelle and Christine Brown — has been called out by daughter Savanah, as well as Janelle and Christine, for his behavior around the holidays.
The family dynamic was really torn apart after Kody imposed restrictions on the family during the Covid lockdown. He felt that some of the children—especially his sons with Janelle—disregarded his orders and prioritized their social life over safety; however, they felt he prioritized his family with wife Robyn over everyone else. This led to a rift between Kody and Janellebefore celebrating the holidays solo with her children, separate from Meri, Koda, Robyn and the latter couple’s children each other.
In Sunday’s new episode, set in mid-January 2023, Kody and Janelle’s daughter Savanah said she hadn’t spoken to her father since her birthday — which is Dec. 7. While Kody had issues with her brothers Garrison and Gabriel, Janelle was the unyielding Savanah “he didn’t do anything” to her father, leaving Savanah, Janelle, and Christine all confused by their estrangement. Even more confusing was the fact, Kody did to meet the daughters he shares with ex Christine – Mykelti, Truely and Ysabel – for a belated holiday celebration.

“I’m mostly mad at him,” Savanah told her mother and Christine when the three of them met at Janelle’s apartment. “I was really sad, he’s my dad. Now I’m just mad at him. No presents, nothing.”
“Nothing for Christmas, that scared me the most,” Janelle said in the confessional. “I understand you’re busy or what, but it’s Christmas. He didn’t even send a gift with Truely, Ysabel, and Mykelti back to the vacation rental for Savanah. Nothing.”
In her own confessional, Christine added: “I am so angry and furious about this whole situation. I don’t think she understands how easy it would be to fix this. All she needs is to see her children.”
Christine was pretty upset about the whole situation and went on to say that she “wouldn’t be as in control” if Savanah wasn’t around. “I’m so frustrated and so angry. I don’t care if he’s angry. When you’re a dad, you’re a dad, stand up,” she continued, before saying Kody’s treatment of Janelle and her children. just like he was with hers before she decided to break up with him permanently.

“My kids have felt neglected for years. It’s all happening again,” she added, before asking: “Is she going to leave everyone but Robyn?”
In his own confessional — I’m sorry, but this show was made up almost entirely of them — Kody defended himself, saying that he believed Christine and Janelle were “teaming up” against him.
“I’m in a place where I’m separated from my children because I was kicked out of my home. I didn’t have the emotional strength to get out,” he continued. “The phone goes both ways. The kids can always call me. I’m going to catch up with Savannah and bring her Christmas. It’s going to be late, but it’s going to happen eventually.”
No word on whether this happened in real life, but his issues with his kids will continue to play out throughout the new season.

While Janelle, Christine and Savanah were talking, Janelle revealed that if her daughter wasn’t already going to school in Flagstaff, she would consider moving to Utah to live near Christine. When she and Kody were almost separated, she said she wasn’t sure if she was “even interested” in rekindling things with him.
“I know I won’t go back to what we had before. I went a little overboard on a lot of things that were problematic for me,” she specified in the confession. “My kids feel like there was so much, so much favoritism and so much inequality and time and resources towards Robyn. I was fine with that. I wouldn’t do it now. I’d like to feel like we’re really a couple.”
She added that it is difficult for her to completely leave Kody and find someone else because of her religious beliefs. However, she noted that she basically knew it was “over” between them because she didn’t believe she could be a “better sister wife” to Robyn, which Kody “implied” she had to be.
“He’s basically saying because you’re not the best sister Robyn, I’m not interested in having a relationship with you,” said Christine, who went on to point out that Meri had always been good to Robyn and he still wasn’t. he was attracted to her for a long time. “He’s full of s–t,” Christine concluded.
Next week’s preview showed Janelle telling Kody that she wanted to stay separated.
We’ll see how this conversation plays out when new episodes of Sister Wives air Sundays on TLC, MAX and Discovery+
