Pokemon Trainer Scarlet & Violet shared a helpful tip to help fans get guaranteed encounters with the incredibly rare authentic form of Poltchageist.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Teal Mask DLC introduced a new convergent Pokemon based on Sinistea Gen 8. This convergent form is called Poltchageist and is based on powdered green tea.

Like Sinistea before him, Poltchageist can be encountered in two distinct forms: Unremarkable Form and Masterpiece Form. The two forms are incredibly hard to tell apart, but the Masterpiece form is much harder to find.

Now a Scarlet & Violet player has discovered a handy trick that allows trainers to find guaranteed encounters with an authentic Poltchageist. However, it requires some work.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Trainer Shares Helpful Poltchageist Mass Outbreak Tip

The tip comes from a Twitter user named SBCoop who noticed something interesting while watching a stream from a content creator Reversal.

According to SBCoop, if trainers have completed the Pokedex but still see a question mark on the map indicating the Mass Outbreak where the Poltchageist appears in Kitakami, it is highly likely that this is the focus of the authentic form.

In addition, trainers can even change the switch’s date and time settings to reset Mass Outbreaks. This forces these specific foci with great patience and persistence.

This trick is not limited to Poltchageist and Siniste. It can work with any Pokemon that has multiple forms, such as Tatsugiri and Maushold.

This is also a useful tip for Shiny hunters, as Mass Outbreaks have a higher chance of getting a Shiny Pokemon.

Using this trick, trainers can catch an extremely rare shiny authentic Poltchageist. To put this into perspective, the odds of naturally encountering a shiny authentic Poltchageist can be as low as 1 in 65,536 spawns.

Needless to say, fans who can snag one for themselves would have a streak to brag about.
