Thomas Markle has slammed Meghan Markle, 42, and Prince Harry, 39, as “cruel” as he begged his estranged daughter to let him meet his grandchildren.

Thomas, 79, sat down with “Good Morning Britain” on Monday and made an impassioned plea, saying he was desperate to see his grandchildren, according to Mail Online.

“I’m also very upset about it because it’s a cruel thing to do to grandparents,” he told presenters Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley. “To deny the right to see their grandchild.”

He claimed that because of California law, “he can actually sue to see them,” but later added that he “didn’t want to do that.”

“Another thing is that I didn’t do anything wrong. There’s nothing there to suggest I’m a bad person,” Thomas continued. “I’m a really loving father and she knows that and there’s no excuse for treating me this way – no excuse for treating my grandparents this way.”

Harry and Meghan are parents to son Archie (3) and daughter Lilibet. The Post has reached out to the couple for comment.

“Meghan lived with me from sixth grade through high school and I’ve never seen anything like that,” Thomas recalled of the “Suits” alum in an interview. “I’ve never seen the type of woman she’s turned into. I am shocked.”

According to her father, “she is not the person I knew as my daughter.”

Asked by the presenter if he believed Prince Harry had an influence on her behaviour, he insisted it was the other way around.

“I think she has more influence on Harry than he has on her,” Thomas stated confidently. “King Charles has done nothing wrong either and is being denied children just like me.

Meghan’s relationship with her father soured shortly before her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018 and continued to deteriorate after the Hollywood director suffered a stroke last year.

Despite the Duchess of Sussex’s harsh treatment, Thomas said: “I’m always there for her, I still love her – I will love her forever.”

He continued: “That will never change, but I want her to reach out to me and let me see my grandkids and let me have some peace.”

The lively interview comes shortly after Thomas claimed he had no knowledge of or involvement in the royal tour organized by his friend Karl Larsen.

“I never gave Karl Larsen the go-ahead for any tour,” he said he told Mail Online. “I’m not involved in any way.” Potential visitors (up to six at a time) were promised an “in-depth tour” of the area where Meghan grew up and which she and her husband call home.

In the since-deleted ad, seen by The Post, Larsen wrote in the description: “I’m world-renowned celebrity photographer Karl Larsen, best friend of Thomas Markle (Meghan’s father) and a guy with an amazing portfolio of exclusive images. of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle together in Montecito.”

Larsen has since deleted the post, claiming he had “no intention” of driving past the Sussexes’ home.
